Dry cough, fever and chest pain or pressure are the common symptoms of COVID-19. However, many people who have tested positive for COVID-19 have reported sore eyes as a problem.

Research shows that patients experience sore eyes for at least two weeks of infection. This symptom is so common that it has been suggested to have it listed as another official COVID-19 symptom, as it is more common than other listed symptoms.

Sensitivity to light which results from the sore eyes has also been noted.

People who have tested positive have also reported sore eyes post the infection. A high percentage of them also noted that they did not have sore eye cases prior to the infection.
