Next-gen BMW M3, M4 teased before this week’s official reveal

The wait is finally over.

The next-generation BMW M3 and M4 models have been long coming, however, it seems like the wait is finally over as the 23 of September will be the official reveal date of the brutal duo.

BMW has since revealed fresh new teaser images that depict the M cars’ oversized grille.

It is slightly difficult to tell how the duo looks but they expected to come in new colours. In the teaser image, we also get to see the six-speed manual gear knob but that remains to be seen if it will make its way to our shores.

We also get to see the M4’s seats that boast the illuminated M4 logo as well as tweaked shoulder bolsters and contrast piping.

The rear of the M3 can also be seen and like all M3s, it features a sexy boot lip, new rear diffuser plus the familiar quad exhaust tips.

Power is expected to come from 3.0-litre twin-turbo in-line six engine with 353 kW of power.

The Competition models will see the power upped to 375 kW. The grunt will be sent to all four wheels via BMW’s xDrive system. A RWD layout will reportedly be made available.

Performance figures and local availability to be made available when both models get revealed on Wednesday.
