The Young Entrepreneurs Business Organisation, better known as YEBO, is a student society from the NWU Vaal Campus that focuses on entrepreneurial development and awareness amongst students. But YEBO isn’t only about business, says Mrs Natanya Meyer, a lecturer from the NWU who co-ordinates this student society.

“YEBO cares for the community and we often host projects to bring some joy to the less fortunate in our community.” The Christmas project collected money and donations to make up a total of 78 gift boxes for the kids. The boxes were valued at approximately R150 each and contained toiletries, educational material, clothing and of course a toy to make each child’s day special! The children also each received a sweets packet, a hotdog and cold drink.

“We would like to thank the following people and businesses without whom this project would not have been possible: Amtech, Royal Foods, Albany, Ebenhaeser, Chilli Picnic, MooiVaal Media, Acquis Consulting, Riversdale Slaghuis, Acacia ladies residence, staff, students and other friends of the North West University who donated money and gifts,” says Mrs Meyer.
