s once a reverend and a radio personality and then was ordained to a bishop’s chair. This is the popular Lefa Pheto, who has now won accolades as a gospel singer. Pheto released his brand new gospel album about a month ago and the album was well received by his fans across Sedibeng. The album was nominated for the Ingoma Awards under the category Best Praise. Pheto was overwhelmed by the nomination and was very pleased to represent the Vaal with his new album. He launched the album on April 3 in Sharpeville. Thirty days later Pheto was nominated to the Ingoma Awards. He says this shows that God has been with him during his preaching career and now his singing career. “I always knew that God has granted me more than to preach. This has just hugely boosted my career to reach the saints through preaching and music. The album will be the perfect revival for all of us that need God’s word. He says we need to meditate on it and live through it,” says Pheto. The awards will be on June 20 at Pretoria CCPP Hall.
