VANDERBIJLPARK. – Expect a full house when Jomo Cosmos hosts Moroka Swallows in the PSL Promotion/Relegation play-off’s at Isak Steyl Stadium on Sunday.
This will be the first time a PSL team plays in this region since Vaal Professionals, otherwise known as “Setla’, was relegated from top-flight football years ago. Cosmos came into this game after suffering a 2 – 0 defeat to Black Leopards over the weekend. They must win this game if they entertain any hope of playing in PSL in the new season.
Despite their 2 – 0 defeat by Black Leopards, Jomo Cosmos’ boss Ephraim “Jomo” Sono believes his side still stands a good chance to return to PSL. He says their game against Moroka Swallows is a must-win affair on Sunday.
Sono says they must also beat Leopards in the return-leg match to be played here at Isak Steyl Stadium next Wednesday. “It isn’t over yet because we will also play here at home in front of our supporters. I’m very confident that our boys will fight as if their lives depend on this game. I know what is at stake here because all of us want to play in PSL come the new season. The players are aware that playing in PSL is our top priority,” says Bra J, as he is affectionately known in South African football.
Meanwhile, Sono calls on all Sedibeng soccer fans to come in numbers to support the club and bring their ‘vuvuzelas’ to cheer for their boys.
