Sebokeng police arrest 38 suspects

SEBOKENG. – The Easter weekend crime blitz by Sebokeng police led to the arrest of 38 suspects linked to various serious offenses committed within the Sebokeng policing precinct.

The suspects were arrested during routine patrols and tracing operations conducted between last Thursday and Sunday.

Police spokesperson, Nthabiseng Mokhachane, said that the charges ranged from possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition murder, malicious damage to property, possession of drugs, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH), undocumented persons, common assault related to domestic violence, drunk and driving, and shoplifting.

Station Commander, Brigadier Thembekile Kubone, commended the officers for their commitment during Easter operations.

“I believe we will reach positive outcomes as the commitment shown by our members was outstanding. I would also like to thank members of the public who continue to provide valuable information anonymously.”

Police have urged residents to play an active role in crime prevention by reporting criminal activity and participating in community patrol structures.
