VAALPARK – Jandre Nel was crowned as Heron Banks Golf Club’s Club Champion for 2025 on Sunday, March 16.
Nel beat Wickus Brand and PG Swartz in a sudden death play-off on the 10th hole. All three of them ended on 147 after two rounds, but the play-off had to take place on the 10th because the customery 18th hole’s fairway was water drenched.
PG Swartz was eliminated after after the first play-off hole and Jandre and Wickus batlled it out. Jandre walked off with the spoils.
Claudia Daws was crowned as the ladies winner.
