Safa Sedibeng sacks Regional League coordinator

“We had to terminate his contract to save this association from legal implications because he works for two bosses."

SEDIBENG.- Safa Sedibeng has sacked their long-serving Regional League Coordinator, Mandla Dipanyekga.

Sedibeng Ster Sport learned about Dipanyekga’s dismissal over the weekend when this journalist asked for Safa Sedibeng Regional Hollywood Bets Men’s fixtures for 2024/2025. Dipanyekga broke the sad news to Sedibeng Ster Sport that he was served with a dismissal letter in December.
This is the second time Safa Sedibeng dismissed the experienced administrator after Beauty Molise.

Molise was also dismissed after he was also accused of mismanagement. When approached for comment regarding this matter, Safa President Solly Mokhabela referred Sedibeng Ster Sport to the Regional Acting REO, Velaphi Motsepe. Motsepe confirmed the dismissal of Dipanyekga.

According to Motsepe, Dipanyakga’s contract was terminated due to a conflict of interest. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that Dipanyekga was working for two employers.

“We had to terminate his contract to save this association from legal implications because he works for two bosses. We presented this matter before REC and it was decided that he be released from his contract. It was a conflict of interest because the same team he works for is also our affiliate. How do you explain this? At some of the hearings, he was never present because at that time he was busy with his team. There is no way we can tolerate this because he was employed full-time by Safa Sedibeng. He was getting his full-time salary here.”

Motsepe confirmed that a collective decision was made, and Safa Sedibeng had no choice but to terminate Dipanyekga’s contract.

“His dismissal was based on the above-mentioned factors that I highlighted,” said Motsepe.
