SEBOKENG. – The Sebokeng SAPS are investigating two separate incidents of concealment of birth.

This after the gruesome discovery of a fully developed baby at an open veld at Zone 13 Sebokeng and that of a foetus at a dumping site in Zone 11 behind Monyaka shops.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane reports in both instances the discovery was made by community members while passing in the area.

“The community summoned police to the scene. On arrival, police inspected further and called for Emergency Services who confirmed that the body was that of a baby girl. The foetus is that of a baby boy.”

Sebokeng SAPS station commander Stofina Mofokeng condemned the incidents.

“Why do we have to end a life before it has even begun, these infants also deserve to live.”

Both the bodies were taken to Sebokeng Government Mortuary.

Mokhachane thanks community members for their vigilance and continued support in combating crime in various areas.
