Murder leaves residents baffled

The incident occurred late the previous evening where a group of unknown individuals allegedly knocked on the shack of the deceased, causing a commotion.

Sharpeville. – A murder has left the community of Tshepiso Phase 3 in Sharpeville confused after a lifeless body of a man was discovered early this week.  Police said that they received the complaint and rushed to the scene following the gruesome discovery on Tuesday morning, October 8.

According to a witness, the incident occurred late the previous evening where a group of unknown individuals allegedly knocked on the shack of the deceased, causing a commotion. Shortly after, several gunshots were heard. However, no one reported the matter to the police until the body was discovered.

Sharpeville police spokesperson, Constable Busisiwe Sango confirmed the incident and called on the community to assist with any information. “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crime or has information that could lead to the arrest of those responsible to contact the police immediately.”  She also urged residents to report suspicious activities without delay.
