SEBOKENG.- As the country celebrated Heritage Day, the Orlando Pirates Sebokeng branch also joined in on the fun.
This unique celebration took place at Zone 10 with Pirates supporters wearing their traditional attire that represent their respective cultures. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, the branch’s spokesperson, Mzwakhe Zondo said football is part of heritage.
He told Sedibeng Ster that football and heritage are one thing, hence, they decided to join millions of South Africans to celebrate the day.
“We really had fun and decided to celebrate this day annually as part of our programme. This is in support and promoting our different cultures through football. We all know that football is the only sport that can bring different people and nations together,” Zondo said.
