This game will go down as one of the best DDC games played so far this season.

VANDERBIJLPARK.- Sekhukhune United rose from the dead to beat SuperSport United 4-2 during the DSTV Diski Challenge.

This encounter took place at the Isak Steyl Stadium on Sunday. Sekhukhune looked dead and buried for the first 15 minutes as SuperSport United took a 2-0 lead. The local soccer fans enjoyed each an every moment of action. Sekhukhune United came back from 2-down and went to interval leading 3-2. It was goals galore for the better part of the game. SuperSport should blame themselves for this defeat after they took a 2-0 lead.

They looked in control of the game in the opening minutes with Sekhukhune still figuring out what had hit them.

However, they showed their spirit when they scored three goals in a short space of 20 minutes, much to the delight of their supporters. At this stage, the home side was oozing with confidence putting together exciting touches, turning their opponents into moving robots.

This game will go down as one of the best DDC games played so far this season. It produced fireworks from the first whistle until to the last whistle. Both sides kept the opponents on the edge of their seats. It was a game worth watching with local Boipatong boy Tshediso Tshehla being man of the match for Sekhukhune United. Not only that, he was also on the score sheet, when he scored an equaliser for his side.

There is no doubt that the future looks great for Tshehla if his current performance is anything to go by. He is one of the youngsters that Sekhukhune might promote to the senior teams come next season because he has been consistent.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport after the game, Tshehla said they started slow but found the rhythm as the game progressed. “We didn’t panic even when they took 2-0 because we believe in ourselves. It was a beautiful game of football and everyone enjoyed it ,” said Tshehla.
