VEREENIGING – Hearts were warm and excitement was in the air as Eureka School held its Special Sports Day on August 30. The learners, full of determination, lined up at the starting point, with wheelchairs ready and eager to give their all in the various events.
The day’s activities saw learners walking with purpose, navigating hoops, and kicking goals with enthusiasm. Staff members cheered them on every step of the way, creating an atmosphere of encouragement and joy.The excitement was contagious, with everyone joining in the celebrations, dancing and laughing together.
Santie Sauermann says: ” We would like to send a special thanks to the mascot and learners from Transvalia High School who supported, motivated and encouraged the learners from start to finish. Thank you for being the difference that brings change.”
Sauermann states that the day was filled with great success, and memorable moments that showcased the spirit and resilience of all involved.
“We relished every second of the day and look forward to the next one with anticipation.”
