Conrad Lamont said that the Indaba is held annually and started as a trade only show.

“Three years ago we changed the concept and extended the duration of the expo. We opened it up to the public.”

The Indaba caters to various companies in the security sector looking to get educated about various security solutions that are available.

“The response to the Indaba has been great. We have even had members of the public coming to get information about the systems they require according to their own specifications. What we are looking for is not the quantity, but the quality of information that people will get from coming to the Indaba. We aim to be a one stop shop where people will be able to get everything that they require.”

Lamont said they invited their top suppliers to come and introduce products and also share in-depth information about products that are available in Security.

Sammy Prins from Sebokeng was one of the people who was excited for the opportunity to attend the Indaba. Speaking to Ster North, he said he was eager to learn about products relating to surveillance as well as gate motors.
