The day’s programme started with an exciting U13 game, however, both teams shared the spoils when they played to a goalless draw.
In another game, NWU Vaal FC U15 beat Rosina 1-0. It was also NWU Vaal FC U17 who dominated the proceedings when they beat Rosina 2-1 in their exciting game to watch. This game kept fans on the edge of their seats for the better part of the game.
It was end to end action with NWU Vaal FC always looking dangerous every time they had ball possession.
In another game that also formed part of the GDL matches, NWU Vaal FC U19 was too strong for their opponents when they beat Rosina 3-0. The home side made their intentions clear from the first whistle attacking their wounded opponents from all angles.
However, the score was not a true reflection of the game, as NWU Vaal FC created lots of scoring opportunities but failed to convert them into goals. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Tebello Kheswa who is Head of NWU Vaal FC Development Team said the results will boost their log standing.
He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that the aim is to avoid relegation at the end of the season.

“It was an encouraging performance and if we play like this, I have no doubt that we will survive the relegation come the end of the season. I was impressed how all our teams played on the day and results are there for everyone to see. Although, we can do better than this in our next games,” said Kheswa.
