SASSA brings joy to pupils in Sehopotso

The partnership that has emerged from this initiative is one that we cherish and hope to nurture for many years to come.

SEBOKENG.– The principal of Sehopotso Secondary School, Ofentse Moloto, has expressed the school’s gratitude for the uniform sponsorship that they received from the South African Social Services Agency (SASSA) this week.

Moloto expressed the heartfelt gratitude for the generous sponsorship for the school’s learners and said that the contribution has brought immense joy and a renewed sense of hope to the students, who now walk with pride and dignity, adorned in their beautiful new uniforms.

“Your support has not only brightened the lives of these young minds, but has also instilled a sense of belonging and motivation that will drive them to achieve greater heights. The impact of this contribution cannot be overstated. In a community where many families face the harsh realities of poverty and unemployment, your generous gift has lifted a tremendous burden off the shoulders of parents and guardians.”

He added that by providing these uniforms, SASSA has not only clothed the learners, but has also given them confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of identity.

“This, in turn, aligns perfectly with our mission and vision to develop our learners into well-adjusted citizens capable of playing positive roles in society. The act of kindness from SASSA has also served to strengthen the bonds between our school and the surrounding community. Your involvement has demonstrated that SASSA is not just an organisation that provides social security, but one that actively contributes to the growth and development of the youth, ensuring that they have the necessary tools to succeed in life.”

The smiles on the faces of the learners, who told Sedibeng Ster that they were grateful for the donation, and the tears of joy from their parents, were a testament to the profound impact of the donation.

“Once again, we extend our sincerest gratitude to SASSA for this invaluable contribution. We look forward to many more opportunities to collaborate in the future as we work together to make a difference in the lives of our learners and our community,” Moloto said.
