SEDIBENG – The new member of Parliament, Tumelo Ramongalo of the DA, has officially been appointed as the new Political Head of the Emfuleni West Constituency in the Vaal.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Ramongalo said that he will be spearheading the campaign objectives for the party to win the Emfuleni Local Municipality in the 2026 Local Government Elections and preparing it for the 2029 National and Provincial Elections.
“It gives me great pleasure to know that I have been entrusted to lead such seasoned and dedicated councillors in this constituency who have been exceptional and professional in pursuing their work, and to know that I have the opportunity to ensure that my political party grows and reaches uncharted levels of success. It will be a mammoth task, but one that I look forward to with great anticipation and excitement,” said MP Ramongalo.
Emfuleni West consists of areas like Steelpark, Sharpeville, Tshepiso, Boipatong, Bophelong/Muvhango, and Polokong under the demarcation done by the DA.
“I vow to be accessible, especially when it comes to being at the forefront of community issues. I want to build a legacy that will motivate and inspire the next generation of leaders who will not be afraid to tackle issues head-on. I am here to serve wholeheartedly with blood, sweat, and tears and to ensure that Emfuleni West becomes one of the best-performing constituencies in our region” he said.
Public representatives and activists who are card-holding members of the DA in the constituency voted for MP Ramongalo to lead them in the upcoming 2026 and 2029 election campaigns. – He said that he does not take it for granted that people voted for him to lead this constituency.- “I have big shoes to fill. Councillor Tebogo Tlhokwe has been exemplary and exceptional in his leadership. He has passed on the baton to me and I plan to make an enormous success out of the opportunity,” Ramongalo said.
He ended, “I am coming into this space with great enthusiasm and passion and I would like to see a diversified DA that advocates for all people regardless of gender and race. We want the youth, women, and the LGBTIQ+ community to come join us as we build an inclusive and unified constituency. I want to be accessible to our communities.
