SEBOKENG- Like she promised, Shadii Pheme made Sedibeng proud.

This 13-year-old from Zone 6 brought home two silver medals from the Aerialnastix Games held at University of Mauritius in Mauritius from August 8-12.

She made a bold prediction prior to the tournament that she would bring medals home.

She did exactly that and hoisted the South African flag high competing against the best.

No doubt, the future looks bright for this talented athlete from Meyerton Gymnastic Club, who has been winning medals whenever she is competing.

Pheme was competing against the best in the competition.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, her mother Nomathemba Pheme was still in celebrating mood.

She said her daughter proved her talent against the best in the competition.

“As her parents we are very proud of what she has achieved not only in this competition but also in the previous tournaments.

“It is all about hard work and we are thankful for her coaches who have developed her talent since day one when she joined the club.

“They did an incredible job getting her to be where she is today. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank them for their commitment and selfless attitude in the development of children,” she said.
