SAFA Sedibeng President hands out certificates at VUT

“I have no doubt that this pool of young coaches will be an asset to our football."

VANDERBIJLPARK. – The South African Football Association (SAFA) Sedibeng President Solly Mkhabela handed Coaching certificates to various Vaal University of Technology (VUT) students recently.

These students attended the D License Coaching Course hosted by SAFA Sedibeng last year. Mkhabela was accompanied by his deputy Velaphi Motsepe. However, it was not only about handing over the certificates as the two parties intend to form at solid relationship. VUT was represented by Prof Chengedza Mafini, Prof Nobukhosi Dlodlo, Peace Nhlawuthelo and Tholoana Hope Peu.

After the media briefing, they went to the hall where the certificate handover ceremony was taking place. Mkhabela said that these students will be useful to the association with the country biding to host the Women’s World Cup.

“I have no doubt that this pool of young coaches will be an asset to our football. We want to take this relationship with VUT further. I want to thank VUT management for this partnership and I have no doubt that together we are going to improve the standard of our football in this region,” he said.

Mkhabela was part of SAFA National delegates who went to Cape Town recently to meet with the minister of sport in an attempt to convince him to host the Women’s World Cup. He said the outcome of the meeting was fruitful with the minister of sports supporting this initiative.
