Local schools battle in the Winter Ball Games

Apart from action, it was also talent galore on display with the youngsters showcasing their God giving talent.

VANDERBIJLPARK – Local schools battled it out in the Winter Ball Games at Cecil Oldridge Park this past weekend.

It was action galore throughout the day with Sedibeng Ster Sport bringing proof of all the action. Apart from action, it was also talent galore on display with the youngsters showcasing their God giving talent. These Winter Ball Games was to decide the two schools in each age group, U17 and U19 that will represent Sedibeng West District in the Inter-District Winter Ball against Sedibeng East District.

The inter-district play-offs is scheduled to take place at the same venue this coming Saturday. This was confirmed to Sedibeng Ster Sport, by Lazarus Motaung who was the technical officer.

“The games went well and this coming Saturday we are coming back here for inter-district Winter Ball Games . The two districts will be competing against each other to produce the winner that will represent our region at provincial level,” explained Motaung.

Some of the schools that were in action on Saturday included Tshepo-Themba Secondary School, Qetilizwe Secondary, Jet Nteo Secondary School and Mophulusi Secondary School to mention only a few.
