Local corporations join hands on Mandela Day

“We joined hands to make a difference in our community."

BOPHELONG – Local corporations joined charity organisations to give back to the community on Mandela Day.

Vanderbijlpark Lottery joined hands with the ‘Mfelo No Mfelokazi’ Foundation and donated baby bags to the newborn babies at Sebokeng Hospital and throughout the community.

In an interview with Sedibeng Ster, Charles Luzipho (Vanderbilpark Lottery) and Jaki ‘Wire’ Mokoena (Mfelo No Mfelokazi Foundation) said they wanted to make life easier for new mothers. The Golden Triangle Chamber of Commerce along with Vaal Mall handed out soup for the Bophelong community.

“We joined hands to make a difference in our community, especially for those who come from disadvantaged families. It was a day well spent doing what we love most, which is to change the lives of ordinary citizens in our community”, they told Sedibeng Ster.
