A sweet way to show you care

This annual celebration, held this year on September 28, invites participants to enjoy baking and sharing cupcakes.

National Cupcake Day, a flagship event organised by Cupcakes of Hope, is a day that brings together individuals, businesses, and communities from all corners of South Africa to make a tangible difference in the lives of children battling cancer. The day originated
in the Vaal Triangle.
This annual celebration, held this year on September 28, invites participants to enjoy baking and sharing cupcakes. The funds raised will enable Cupcakes of Hope to continue the much-needed support they provide to hundreds of young cancer patients and their families every month. This includes covering their medical bills and other essential needs, from nappies to nutrition and everything in between. Since 2020, the number of patients supported has quadrupled.
Last month alone, over 230 young cancer patients received financial assistance, with the youngest being only 10 months old. If you cannot bake you can still support the project by donating products like flour, oil, sugar, eggs, margarine, or packaging. You can also visit a participating mall on the day and make a donation of R10 to R20 for a delicious cupcake made with love. Every little bit counts, so if you can’t participate in person, consider making a small donation to help these brave little cancer patients. “Together, we can make a difference!” is the slogan of Cupcakes of Hope.
