Dlomo Dam body still unidentified

The body was at first believed, by the community, to be that of a missing teacher, Stella Skosana.

SHARPEVILLE. – The body of a woman that was found by a fisherman in the Dlomo Dam has still not been identified.

The Sharpeville police are investigating a case of inquest following the discovery of the body of a female that was found at Dlomo Dam, Sharpeville early May. Police spokesperson, Constable Busisiwe Sango said that on May 4 at about 18:00 Sharpeville Police received a complaint from a fisherman that there was a body floating on the water.

“Saps water wing divers were contacted to retrieve the body from the dam. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the body was of a female. Finger prints of the deceased were taken the results came back as unidentified,” Sango said.

The body was at first believed, by the community, to be that of a missing teacher, Stella Skosana (34), an English teacher at Thuto-Lore Comprehensive School, however her body was later found, also along the banks of the Dlomo Dam in a wheelie bin.

“The Sharpeville Police are pleading with the members of the community that anyone who might have information regarding this matter (the identification of the other body), to please come forward or anyone who’s loved one is missing to come forward,” said Sango adding that any information will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.
