Be a hero for furry friends in need

The PurrPaws for Life Animal Shelter is pleading with the community to help them and support their Volunteer Day on July 18.

VANDERBIJLPARK. – “We work for the community and we cannot do this by ourselves. Everything we do is done to improve the quality of life of so many unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned animals.”
The PurrPaws for Life Animal Shelter is pleading with the community to help them and support their Volunteer Day on July 18. “Our vet accounts are used to get the animals treatment and in many cases, it’s not shelter animals that get treated, but the community we help with their family pets.
Getting animals sterilised (spayed/ neutered) help us reduce the number of pets surrendered or dumped at the shelters,” explains a spokesperson for the shelter.
The shelter is currently taking care of 250 dogs, of which 50 are puppies under six months, and 150 cats. The cost every week is R8 000 just to feed the animals. Their vet accounts are currently R23 000 and R4 000. Thus they need constant support from the community.
On Volunteer Day people will get to experience the joy of helping them and play their part in the Mandela Day celebrations. So let your compassion shine.
