ANC Gauteng welcomes the announcement of the GPL members

"The people of Gauteng have eagerly awaited the announcement of their leadership."

SEDIBENG.- The African National Congress (ANC) in Gauteng has said that it welcomes the announcement of the Members of the Executive Council by Gauteng Premier, Panyaza Lesufi, on yesterday.

The party said that the announcement marks the long-awaited formation of a Government of Provincial Unity (GUP) , where the people of Gauteng, through their votes, expressed their desire for their respective political parties to work together.

“Today’s announcement of Gauteng’s Executive Council, which will serve and lead the 7th democratic provincial administration, is a culmination of the people’s voice. It marks an important step forward and stands as a testament to the resilience of our democratic nation. The people of Gauteng have eagerly awaited the announcement of their leadership. We are delighted that all impasses hindering this announcement were resolved through the collective wisdom of both National and Provincial structures. We extend our gratitude to all political parties that joined the GPU for agreeing to fulfill the people’s wishes,” the ANCGP said.

The party urged the newly appointed Executive Council to; ” Prioritise the interests of transformation, redress, national unity, peace, and stability as
voiced by the electorate.”

8. Agriculture and Rural Development: Vuyiswa Ramokgopa
9. DID and CoGTA: Jacob Mamabolo
10. Environment: Sheila Mary Peters
