Beware of police imposters

The pair use blue lights to stop vehicles.

SHARPEVILLE.- The Sharpeville Police is appealing to the members of the community to be aware of a white Toyota sedan with two people posing to be metro police wearing wearing metro police reflective jackets.

Police spokesperson, Constable Busisiwe Sango said that the pair use blue lights to stop vehicles.

“The community is urged not to stop under any circumstances when they are stopped by this vehicle. It has also come to the attention of Sharpeville police that there are people who are phoning the community posing to be Sharpeville detectives and extorting money from the community claiming that they will assist them with their matters. Sharpeville Saps Station Commander Colonel Selota is pleading with the community to take note of both of these incidents and to report any form of crime.”
