‘It is long overdue’: Koatla

“We are going to these Play-offs with one thing in our mind, winning promotion to the Safa Sedibeng Hollywood Regional League."

SHARPEVILLE.- After years of efforts to win promotion to Regional League with no success, T-Squad FC will leave no stone unturned when they participate in the Inter-Regional Play-offs.

This Sharpeville based outfit has been campaigning in the fourth division league for sometimes now but things are about to change. The club is among the clubs that will participate in the forthcoming Inter-Regional Promotion Play-offs. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, the club Chairman, Tshepo Koatla, made it clear to that their aim is to gain promotion to the Safa Sedibeng Hollywood League come next season.

He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that it is long over due for his club to gain promotion to the regional men’s league. T-Squad FC was part of the Emfuleni teams that participated in the Champ of Champs Play-offs that took place at Qedilizwe ground on Sunday.

They finished second on the log standings with All Black FC who are also going to participate in the interregional Play-offs, finishing at the top of the Play-offs logs. The Play-offs will see teams from Midvaal Local Football Association, Lesedi Local Football Association and Emfuleni Local Football Association competing against each other for promotion in the Safa Sedibeng Hollywood Regional Men’s League in the new season.

“We are going to these Play-offs with one thing in our mind, winning promotion to the Safa Sedibeng Hollywood Regional League. It is long over due because every season, in the past, we have been unfortunate not to win our stream. I have no doubt that our boys are ready for these Play-offs and they understand our objective, which is to gain promotion,” said Koatla.
