SEDIBENG.- Hailing from the vibrant cultural landscape of Vaal, Boipelo Tshelanyane and Mpho Mokhethi, renowned by their professional moniker inter B and Draad, are an exceptional ‘Amapiano’ duo.

Their music journey ignited in 2020, marked by unwavering commitment in crafting innovative musical experiences. In their creative endeavors, they have not only carved out a niche for themselves but also pioneered a new genre, ‘Sgafro’, a melodious blend of Afro House/Tech and Ampiano that has captivated influential artists and fans.

From the onset, Inter B and Draad demonstrated an astonishing potential to resonate with listeners.

The duo’s early releases, ‘100 Watts’ and ‘Jembe’, they quickly spread through the streets, securing their place on the esteemed Apple Mzansi Music Risers chart and within the top 200 ‘Most Shazamed’ songs in South Africa.

The tracks became anthems, reflecting the duo’s unique sound and artistic vision.

The duo’s popularity continued to soar with the release of their inaugural Extended Play (EP) named ‘New Fortune Values’ on May 27. This melodic opus showcased collaborations with esteemed talents such as Jay Music, King Deetoy, and Galestik, they further cemented their status in the music industry. Additionally, their creative prowess caught the attention of the illustrious Tmanxpress from Simnadi Records, who featured them on his album “Ikigai”.

The duo’s journey is marked by several notable milestones and collaboration namely Jembe on Shazam Charts, Durban July performance, international play, Debut album ‘Time will tell’. In addition, their recorded music initiated the Riverfront Sessions in collaboration with Mzansi Prolific Connect and Style Daily. This series features live recording of their performances, along with sets by guest DJs. Videography by Joint Effort Visuals and photography by Kamili Productions capture the vibrant energy of these sessions, inviting a select group of attendees to enjoy the unique experience.

Mpho Mokhethi known as Draad stated that in 2024, they continued to expand their influence by collaborating with DBN Gogo on her project “Click Bait.” Releasing the track “Inkunzi” featuring Sykes and Jay Music. They also dropped “Woza Madala” with Jay Music, which remained highly sought-after for almost a year, and “Prime Sgafro” with Senjay. Their unreleased song “55 Methods” was featured on the playlist of mixmag, the world’s leading dance music magazine, showcasing their global reach and appeal.
