BOPHELONG.- Bophelong will come to stand with the Duku Duku Super 16 Soccer Tournament finals scheduled to take place at the France Soccer ground on Saturday.
This annual soccer tournament started on Youth Day with local soccer fans enjoying ‘kasi’ football with notable names such as Thabo Rakhale, Nhlanhla Zothwane and Relebogile Mofokeng being among the spectators who enjoyed each and every moment of action.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Duku Duku Super16 Soccer Tournament organiser Molefi “Duku Duku” Mahlangu promises fireworks, come Saturday. The day’s program will start with the semifinals to decide the two finalists to play against each other later on the day. In the first semifinals, Izingwenya FC will be up against National Team.
The kick off time is at 10:00.
The much anticipated second semifinals will be between All Stars FC and Team Phoso FC which scheduled is to kick off at 11:30. Mahlangu said since the tournament started, he has been overwhelmed by the local soccer fans’ attendance. The Bophelong and Muvhango community has packed the venue to capacity since day one and this weekend will be no exception.
Mahlangu said they want to make this year’s final a memorable one.
“We are looking forward to Saturday and I have no doubt that the local soccer fans are going to witnesses the mother of all battles. All the teams in the semi-finals are good teams that will entertain the local soccer fans. I really want to thank the Bophelong and Muvhango community for their support. They came out in big numbers to cheer their respective teams,” said Mahlangu.
