Mauvhelwana launches her first book

Through this journey, Lungile learned valuable lessons about womanhood, carrying oneself in alignment with God, and fulfilling God’s purpose.

VEREENIGING.- Lungile Mauvhelwana’s book launch at Enlightened Christian Gathering: The Jesus Nation Church in Vereeniging on Saturday morning brought together congregants, pastors, family, and friends in a celebration of her achievement.

The book, titled “Virtuous Women,” draws inspiration from Proverbs 31 and outlines the 10 virtues of a woman, emphasising the unique attributes that God bestows upon women. A virtuous woman, as described in the book, is a rare find in today’s world where women often strive to fulfil many roles simultaneously.

Mauvhelwana’s book seeks to help women understand and embrace the virtues that God has placed within them. Among the guests at the book launch was former Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) Mayor and Reverend Gift Moerane. Besides being an author, she is an entrepreneur, a devout young woman, a Sunday school teacher, and a business student.

Mauvhelwana’s family came to support and celebrate her achievements.

Lungile’s inspiration for writing this remarkable book stemmed from her personal experience with an identity crisis and her spiritual awakening through the Holy Spirit. She shared that when God found her, she began to find herself, which motivated her to write a book dedicated to women facing similar challenges. Through this journey, Lungile learned valuable lessons about womanhood, carrying oneself in alignment with God, and fulfilling God’s purpose.

Mauvhelwana expressed her pride in her accomplishments, stating: “No good thing comes easy. I wrote this book three years ago and got it published in January 2024. This journey was full of struggles, including financial difficulties and challenges in finding a good publisher and securing copyrights. But despite all the challenges, here I am now, launching my first book and selling more copies. I self-published the book with help from editor Vonakani Maluleke from Malenga Publishing in Elim, Limpopo.”

Lungile’s friend, Sunday school teacher Yolanda Dlamini, performed a poem written by Lungile.

During the event, Mauvhelwana’s friends, family, and Reverend Gift Moerane had the opportunity to congratulate her on this milestone. The event was a joyous success, featuring a worship team (band) singing and celebrating with her. Lungile’s friend, Sunday school teacher Yolanda Dlamini, performed a poem written by Lungile, and Sunday school children performed a dance to celebrate their teacher.

Mamosa Moleki, the founder of Grace Gam—a Bible-based fellowship for women called to ministry—spoke at the event, saying: “I met Sister Lungile at my function on 11 May. She saw the post on social media and decided to join. During the process, she approached me about her book, and I was immediately captivated by her writing. You can see a woman led by the Spirit of God, driven to make a difference in her community and within herself. Women are complete and should not be idle. If you don’t know something, ask another woman. Discover the mystery behind her success. That’s what’s missing—humility and the willingness to learn from each other.”

Mauvhelwana ‘s book “Virtuous Women” is available on Amazon and at Enlightened Christian Gathering: The Jesus Nation Church in Vereeniging, opposite Hubby and Lace.
