Makgoe is destined for great future

"I think I was happy with my performance especially helping my team to win the game."

VANDERBIJLPARK._Oratilwe Makgoe (12) is destined for a great future if her current top performance is anything to go by.

She is one of the girls’ child players, who play with and against boys. This LM Sports Academy player mesmerised her opponents with her skill during the Emfuleni Local Football Association’s (ELFA) Development League game at Santa Maria grounds in Vanderbijlpark on Saturday.

The future looks bright for this Vaal Park Primary School grade 6 learner from Sasolburg. She had a fun filled day toying around with her opponents, carrying her team on her shoulders. This is what she had to say speaking to ‘S’ Kuluma no while in the company of her mother, Ayanda Pamla, who also answered some questions when speaking to Sedibeng Ster after a great performance against Junior Swallows FC in the u/13 league match.

Q: Congratulations for your Player of the Match performance against Junior Swallows. What inspired you to have such a great game?

A: I always work hard, today I think I was happy with my performance especially helping my team to win the game. It also serves me as extra motivation to see my mother watching me.

Q: Most of girls play netball, why did you chose football?

A: ( Mother) Before she joined this team, Oratile would play football in the streets with her friends and last year she joined LM Sports Academy and I’m her No 1 Supporter.

Q: Where do you want to see yourself as far as football is concern?

A: My dream is to play for Banyana Banyana and also persuade my football career abroad, to be specific, in France. At the moment, I’m working hard and thanks to my coaches for pushing me hard at training.

Q: It was great talking to you, and your final words?

A: Thanks for this opportunely and I will cherish this moment for years to come to be in the newspaper at a very young age. I would look back at this interview in future after I achieved my dreams. I’m very motivated and this can only mean more hard work.
