VAAL MARINA. – The Vaal Marina SAPS conducted ‘Operation Shanela’ in their policing precinct yesterday, Wednesday.
Different divisions’ managers such as the Vaal Marina Vispol Commander, Support Head, Sector Manager, Flash Officer, Vispol Support, and Social Crime Prevention Coordinator joined the operation.
The team visited liquor premises, and second-hand goods stores to verify compliance.
“The Flash officer also assisted with the checking of firearms at the security companies, drivers and vehicles were searched. The Social Crime Prevention Coordinator educated the motorists about safety on the road and distributed liquor control pamphlets and second-hand goods.”
