S’khuloma no… Teboho Motepe

"I don’t see any teams that will represent us in the ABC Motsepe League."

VANDERBIJLPARK.- Sedibeng Ster Sport tracked down Ghetto Seven FC Head Coach, Teboho Motepe after their Emfuleni Local Football Association’s (ELFA) Super League match against Junior Swallows FC at Shakespeare Stadium in Vanderbijlpark on Saturday to hear his views after his team was relegated from the Safa Sedibeng Hollywood Regional League last season.

Q: At one stage your team was 2-0 up but the game ended in 3-3, what happened?

A: I’m very disappointed because I thought we were going to win this game with a high score after we scored two goals in a short space of 10 minutes but we ended up playing 3-3.

Q: As a coach, are you disappointed with these results?

A: Of course, I’m very disappointed because we were in control of the game but complacency is the reason the game ended up in 3-3. We created many chances but the lack of decision-making let us down. These boys will learn the hard way that if you don’t take your chances the opponents will capitalise on this.

Q: Last season Ghetto Seven FC was relegated from the Safa Sedibeng Hollywood Regional League at the end of the season. How is life in the lower league?

A: I enjoy playing in the Super League there is not much pressure here, and we are building a solid team that will compete for the league in three years to come. You can see for yourself, this is a young team and give us two or three years you will see.

Q: What do you think about the standard of football in general in Sedibeng?

A: I will be honest with you, for now, I don’t see any teams that will represent us in the ABC Motsepe League looking at the standard of the Safa Sedibeng Hollywood Regional League. Yes, playing against each other might be misleading but going to the promotional Playoffs is not going to be easy. I have been following their games.
