RESA ladies team coach aim to finish hight in the GDL

"The team is where it is because of the support we get from our management especially our chairman who is being so supportive not only for ladies’ teams but all the divisions."

VEREENIGING.- RESA ladies team head coach, Solly Lekhooana, aims to finish at the top of the Gauteng Development Ladies League (GDLL) at the end of the season.

RESA campaigns in the GDLL with all their divisions, u/13, u/15, u/17, u/19, and ladies’ teams (u/14 and u/16).

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Lekhooana said they have set a target for themselves to finish at the top of the log at the end of the season. Last season RESA Ladies’ team finished fourth on the log and Lekhooana was upbeat when he told Sedibeng Ster Sport that the aim is to finish at the top of the log standings at the end of the season.

RESA competes against the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies, Tuks Ladies, and Kempton Park Ladies to mention but a few, in both the U/14 and u/16 ladies’ categories. Lekhooana was confident after his team’s impressive start in the league.

He has all the reason to be confident looking at both teams on the log standings after they played two games.  For example, the RESA U/16 Ladies team is second on the log with Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies Team occupying the top spot on the log. The u/14 ladies’ team is 6th on the log with Mamelodi Sundowns again topping the log standing.

“I do not doubt that we can finish at the top of the log at the end of the season looking at the players we have this season. These young girls are amazing; no one can question their commitment. We aim to maintain this performance until the end of the season because we started very well, especially with the u/16.”

“The team is where it is because of the support we get from our management especially our chairman who is being so supportive not only for ladies’ teams but all the divisions. He is very passionate about the development of football and we are lucky to be led by a person of his stature. He is such an incredible leader,’ said Lekhooana.
