About 150 Green Angels to be recruited in Sedibeng

According to Gibson, about 150 people will get the opportunity to train at various facilities throughout the three local municipalities, including Emfuleni, Midvaal, and Lesedi Local Municipalities.

VEREENIGING. – The Gauteng Department of Health has presented an opportunity for 1 000 individuals to form part of the Green Angels cohort that will be taken in under the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) 12-month emergency care internship programme.

recently for the Green Angels recruitment drive.

According to the department, there are a total of 1 120 spots available within five health districts: Johannesburg, Tshwane, Ekurhuleni, Sedibeng, and West Rand, providing ample opportunities for aspiring healthcare professionals to contribute to emergency care services.Gauteng MEC for Health and Wellness Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko says: “Often when employment opportunities arise within the Gauteng EMS, it becomes clear that there are still barriers that prevent many people, especially previously disadvantaged groups, from accessing these opportunities.

Through this drive, we want to make sure that we afford as many people as possible an opportunity to be part of the Green Angels – another name the EMS personnel are known by,” she explains.

In sedibeng, about 150 people will be placed at various facilities across the three
municipalities.

In Sedibeng, the recruitment drive was carried out on Tuesday, February 27, at the Vereeniging Civic Centre. Speaking to Ster North, Sedibeng Health’s Communication Officer, Portia Gibson, said that over 100 people in the region heeded the call to apply for the opportunity.

According to Gibson, about 150 people will get the opportunity to train at various facilities throughout the three local municipalities, including Emfuleni, Midvaal, and Lesedi Local Municipalities.

Applicants who are unable to visit the district help desks can directly deliver their applications to the Gauteng Emergency Medical Services head office at Continuity SA, Growth Point Business Park, Corner Old Pretoria Road and Tonnetti Street, Midrand, or post them to P.O Box 8311 Halfway House, 1685. The application process closes on March 8, 2024.
