Big or small, the SPCA rescues them all

VEREENIGING. - Many people think that the SPCA only save cats and dogs, but to them every animal's life matters. To continue their cause they need the support of the local community.

Sedibeng Ster is a proud supporter of the local SPCA branches and their inspectors. Over the years we have published many articles on their service and quests to save animals in need.

On some occasions, they ventured into situations that could cause harm to themselves. On other occasions, they just need to step in and take control.

Recently a little leopard tortoise found itself in a tight spot, navigating a busy road at its own pace. Thankfully, a compassionate pedestrian stepped in just in time.

The SPCA inspectorate was notified and took control of the situation.

This is proof that every individual in our community can make a difference for our furry and scaly friends. Don’t look the other way.

If you encounter an animal in distress, please don’t hesitate to contact the Vereeniging/Vanderbijlpark office at 016 422 1505.

The SPCA would also like to thank supporters who have contributed to their much-needed festive fund.

Every contribution, big or small, is a beacon of hope for the local SPCA. This helps them in their mission to prevent cruelty to animals.

With the New Year celebrations looming (happiness for humans, horror for animals), they will need all the help they can get.

Please contact them directly at 016 422 1505 if you can support them in their cause.

Remember, wild animals belong in the wild! Let’s continue working together to create a safer and more compassionate community for all beings – SPCA.
