Mpobole brings back the spirit of Ubuntu

“To tell the truth nowadays black people are divided. We don't want to help one another, and we also don’t want to be there for one another."

VEREENIGING. – A young man has come to tread when many chose not to go, helping the poor.

From humble beginnings, all the way from Clocolan in the Free State, and to Sedibeng to further his studies in 2016, Tumisang Mpobole saw a need to register a company called the ‘Unstoppable Movement’ in 2022 to help the needy in the area.

The Unstoppable Movement is operating around the Vaal Triangle and is helping community members from all over the Vaal. Currently based in Bedworthpark, between Vereeniging and Vanderbijlpark, the organisation is helping young people who are unemployed with food parcels, school-going children with clothes and shoes and the homeless with food.

Mpobole said that the reason they are doing this is that they want to unite the community that has seemingly forgotten who they are, where they come from and have been divided over the years, and also bring back the spirit of Ubuntu. He further added that his message to young people in the community is: “Together we can make it. Unity is power and if we can stand up and be one thing, we can defeat poverty and division in society.”

“As an organisation, we want to bring back that spirit of being there for one another that’s why we started this campaign or movement. We are currently doing this out of our own pocket, we don’t have sponsors. I would like people to help us and donate so that we continue to help  others.”
