SEDIBENG.- Marumo Gallants’ attempt to return their status in the top-flight football continues when they welcome another relegated side, Baroka FC, in the Motsepe Foundation Championship at Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark today, Friday.
It has not been an easy journey for both sides to campaign in the Motsepe Foundation Championship looking at the log standing. However, it is still early days to make predictions if they will return to their PSL status at the end of the season or not.
These two are on 8 and 9 positions on the log respectively with the same number of points and games and separated by goal difference. Baroka is in 8th position on the log while Gallants are in 9 position and this game is expected to produce fireworks.
As usual, the local soccer fans are expected to pack the venue to capacity like they always do on Fridays. The Sedibeng soccer fans packed the venue to capacity when NB La Masia played against Casric Stars last week Friday. The atmosphere was unbelievable with both sides’ supporters cheering for their favourite teams.
