Parys Crater Street Mile this Wednesday

This event is also the perfect family day with different categories to enter. Bring your children or grandchildren and join in the fun.

After the raving success of the first Parys Crater Street Mile in the main street of Parys earlier this year, the Parys Rotary Club in conjunction with Parys Infor & Tourism will proudly be hosting their second Parys Crater Street Mile on Wednesday 11 October.

This prestigious event is equally popular among the country’s top athletes and businesses and organisations looking for the perfect opportunity to build team spirit.

There is more than R50 000 in cash to be won with Elite race winners taking home R10 000 each. To top it all a medal awaits each and every participant.

The races start and end in the characteristic main street of Parys.

At 15:00 the Rising Stars, Boys and Girls 4-7 years will complete a half mile, followed by a fun race for Rotarians, family and friends at 15:30.

Thereafter Veterans 40+, Masters 50+and the Grand Masters 50+ Men will get their turn.

At 16:00 Youth Boys and Girls 8-13 will participate, with the Veterans 40+, Masters 50+ and Grand Masters 60+ Ladies participating at 16:15.

At 16:45 Health Clubs and Businesses get their turn.

The Open Men and Women 19-39, and Junior Men and Women 14-18 categories will be held at 17:00 and 17:15 respecpectively, with the highlight of the day being the Elite Ladies and Elite Men’s races at 17:30 and 17:45 respectively.
