VANDERBIJLPARK .- Repair work to the Vanderbijlpark reservoir was complete, the Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) said in a statement on Sunday afternoon.

“The Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) thanks consumers in Vanderbijlpark and surrounding areas for their patience whole Water Demand Management teams worked with determination to repair a leaking main water supply pipeline at Vanderbijlpark reservoirs.”

The repairs have been completed and the team recharged the line on Sunday night. Reservoir refilling will commence soon after.

ELM said depending on location, consumers should expect to receive water from Monday, September 18.

The municipality continued the water service until Monday.

“Consumers are once more advised that reservoirs are empty and will take time to refill. The municipality is pleading with all affected consumers to use water sparingly as soon as they get it to allow for reservoirs to fill up quicker.”
