Midvaal completes R25 million gravel to tar project

The project was recently completed at a cost of R25 million.

MIDVAAL. – The Executive Mayor, Alderman Peter Teixeira, along with Members of the Mayoral Committee, officially unveiled the Bronk Road gravel to tar road project.

The road project was initiated in 2021 and was completed in 2023, in record time, at a total cost of R25 million.

The intention was to connect the Eye of Africa to the R82 corridor, accommodating the expanding housing development and providing access to economic opportunities.

The expansion of the housing development in the Eye of Africa area will bolster the municipality’s revenue stream, which will be utilized to further enhance service delivery.

This newly tarred road will not only simplify the transportation of heavy-duty trucks carrying goods but also facilitate smoother journeys for private vehicles. Before this transformation, the terrain was challenging and difficult to navigate.

Midvaal Local Municipality says it remains committed to providing excellent service delivery through the upgrade of infrastructure to foster an environment conducive to investment and unlock economic opportunities.
