No water from 14 September

VANDERBIJL PARK. – Emfuleni municipality has announced that water will be shut off in Vanderbijlpark and surroundings from September 14 until Monday, September 18.

Repairs must be made to a 1075mm concrete valve which is leaking.

After the repairs have been completed, it will also take a few days for all the reservoirs to fill up again.

Consumers are asked to store water for domestic use in advance.

The municipality said in an official statement that water dispensers will be available everywhere.

The official times when the water tankers will be available are not yet known.

Confirmation has been received that schools, hospitals and clinics will receive water from Wednesday and that they will receive water first every day.

The following water points have already been confirmed:

CW1/CW6 NG Mother parish at open space near traffic light,

CW2 Shell Filling Station, Becquerel Street,

CW3 Killarney Hotel, Siemens Street,

CW5 Stephenson Spar, Stephenson Street,

CBD/CE1/CE6, ​​Library in town,

CE2/CE3/CE4 Artemis Spar, Everest Street,

CE5 Next to the substation, corner of Westinghouse Blvd & Petter Street,

SW1/ SW2/SW5 and Mantevrede at Vaal Mall &

SE1/SE2/ SE7 at Palms Mall.
