Pastor donates school furniture

The scarcity of desks and chairs even led to protests among students during exam periods.

SEBOKENG.- Pastor Mokwena has proven his dedication beyond the pulpit by extending a helping hand to the community. Recently, he generously donated school furniture to Langalebalele Dube Primary School in Ext 2.

The furniture was presented through his company, K2020 PTY LTD. But his benevolence didn’t stop there as he also contributed a substantial amount of R70,000 to Qoqizizwe Primary School in Orange Farm. In an interview with Sedibeng Ster, Mokwena emphasised that these contributions are a reflection of his company’s commitment to giving back to the community.

Recognising the pressing need for additional chairs and desks at the Langalebalele Dube Primary School, Pastor Mokwena and his team decided to take action to address this issue. He conveyed that the shortage of furniture was a grave concern, with students having to arrive early to secure a seat. This led to a “first-come, first-served” situation that was far from ideal.

The scarcity of desks and chairs even led to protests among students during exam periods. Pastor Mokwena highlighted the importance of collective effort in the community, urging other businesses to come forward and elevate the standards of education. He stressed that this initiative is part of their social responsibility to uplift those in need within the broader community.

His intention is to contribute as much as possible to create a positive impact and improve the community’s overall well-being. He concluded by affirming their ongoing commitment to serving the community and making a difference.
