Zamdela woman appears in court for alleged murder of partner
Police arrested a woman for murder after she allegedly stabbed her partner following an argument when they returned home from a local tavern.
ZAMDELA – Zamdela police have arrested a woman in connection with the murder a 45-year-old man.
Police spokesperson Captain Loraine Earle says on Sunday, July 16 in the early hours of the morning, Zamdela police received information about a murder at S09 Savanna Informal Settlements.
“On arrival, police found both the victim and the suspect. The victim, who had a stab wound on his thigh, was declared dead by the EMS personnel and the suspect was arrested.”
It is alleged that the couple was from a tarven and when they arrived at home, they had an argument. The fight got physical and the victim slapped the suspect. The suspect then allegedly stabbed him in the thigh.”
According to Earle the suspect will appear in court on Tuesday, July 18 to face charges related to murder.
