GTCoC looking for partners in new pothole project

The Golden Triangle Chamber of Commerce (GTCoC) is calling on all local businesses to join its initiative to fix the Vaal Triangle’s roads.

The GTCOC says in a media release it wants to make the Vaal attractive for business again, and therefore wants to approach the business community to partner with the organisation.

How will it work?

A business has to contribute a fixed amount per month (minimum of a R1 000 per month) for a period of 12 months. The funds will be used to fix potholes in Vanderbijlpark, Vereeniging and Sasolburg. These contributions will make a visible difference in the community.

  1. When contributing, your business will have the opportunity to nominate the road in which you would like the potholes to be repaired, whether it is the street in front of your house, your business, your church or a school. The choice is absolutely yours.
  2. Your business’ name will be painted at the pothole to indicate your contribution in the community.

The GTCoC’s aim is to repair as many potholes as possible on a consistent basis, without compromising on quality. With enough sponsors the Chamber will be able to fix about 100m2 plus per month. In order to do this, contributions to the value of R65 000 per month are needed. A monthly progress report will be made available by the GTCoC management, but the change in the Vaal will surely become visible.

The GTCoC says it would like the contributions received for this initiative to have a lasting effect for years to come.

The following approach will be taken with the fixing of potholes:
