The club has been named the 98th best golf course in South Africa by satop100courses.
Considering how the track looked six years ago, one can understand why there is reason for so much excitement. The track was badly neglected by its previous owner, a Korean businessman.
The club was even named one of the 60 best courses in SA until 2005, but due to mismanagement and poor maintenance, the course was later declared poor and unplayable for leagues by the Central Gauteng Golf Union.
In 2018, the home owner’s association jointly bought the golf course and Timeless Golf was appointed by them to restore the greens and sand pits to their former glory and as they say, the rest is history.
“It is a very big achievement for us to be among the top 100 again. We are happy that the hard work and long hours have paid off,” says Aldo Grobbelaar, club captain of the club.
