Five injured in Vanderbijlpark collision

Five people sustained injuries ranging from moderate to severe in a collision on the Golden Highway close to Delvos Blvd in Vanderbijlpark.

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) says on Friday evening at around 20h00, theirĀ  Vaal Crew responded to a motor vehicle collision on the Golden Highway close to Delvos Blvd in Vanderbijlpark.

“Two vehicles collided leaving one person trapped in the wreckage and the jaws of life were required to rescue the patient from the wreckage.”
Five people sustained injuries ranging from moderate to severe and were transported to nearby Medical Facilities by ER24 and SharpMed Ems.”
In a separate incident on Sunday CERT responded to reports of an motor vehicle collision on Kliprivier Drive in Three Rivers.
“A single light motor vehicle veered off the road and landed up in the water.”
Midvaal Fire Department rescue personnel accessed the vehicle to establish if there were any occupants in the vehicle.
Bystanders then informed emergency services personnel that the driver of the vehicle had been transported privately prior to the arrival of emergency services.”
