Kritzinger wins protection order issued against ELM CFO

ELM’s CFO Andile Dyakala may no longer threaten or have any direct or indirect contact with prominent Vaal business leader Klippies Kritzinger after posting life-threatening messages to him on social media.

Dyakala now finds himself surrounded by a field of legal barbed wire following the granting of a  protection order this week – including the real possibility of a new disciplinary based on a fresh complaint by Kritzinger, President of the Golden Triangle Chamber of Commerce (GTCoC).

A Vanderbijlpark Magistrate issued the protection order against the summonsed but absent official on Wednesday – who on the same day reportedly launched a second Johannesburg Labour Court attempt for his precautionary suspension to be lifted.

Kritzinger was supported in court on Wednesday by Emfuleni Ratepayer’s Association (ERPA) Chairperson Kobus Janse van Rensburg.

This week’s protection order will be followed by a new formal complaint against Dyakala to Municipal Manager Lucky Leseane by Kritzinger.

Kritzinger was recently unblocked and targeted by Dyakala – one message read “U will die” – on his mobile phone after the official received only a final warning and was not fired after a lengthy disciplinary hearing which imposed very light sanction against him.

Additionally, Kritzinger also laid a criminal charge against Dyakala in connection with the same incident and Police are investigating that also – worsening a whole series of legal challenges confronting the often-outspoken CFO.

The death threat erupted from Dyakala after the well-known and influential business leader’s media comment on Dyakala’s recent “tap on the wrist” sentencing for misconduct and bringing ELM into disrepute.

ELM Council has also utterly rejected unduly lenient punishment for gross misconduct by Dyakala  CFO, even as a host of other serious self-inflicted legal woes engulf the aggressive official both internally and from the business sector.
