The theme for 2022 is MAGIC and I DON’T DO FASHION, I AM FASHION.
You can enter as many designs as you wish. Once you are selected as a finalist, your garment(s) will be showcased at a professional choreographed event on Friday, 7 October 2022 by Renita Lombard Productions.
Should your garment be the winner of a category, it will be showcased along with your CONTACT details at Vaal Mall Shopping Centre from 18 – 14 October 2022.
Fantastic prizes can be won, including Bursaries from the NWU bHive Enterprise Development Centre and Coco Box gifts sponsored by Nanacoco Professional for all winners to the value of R10 000.
Requirements: A magic themed evening gown, standard size 10 / 34 for a model approximately 1.65-1.78m.
The Vaal Designer of the Year Categories are:
1. Non-qualified designers with NO PROFESSIONAL training
2. Non-qualified designers still IN TRAINING
3. Qualified and Non-qualified designers with an ESTABLISHED BUSINESS
Vaal Mall, Mooi Vaal Media and Renita Lombard Productions would like to invite all Vaal Triangle pupils and their parents, who would like to find great ideas for the 2022 / 2023 Matric farewell events and meet new upcoming designers.
This would be the ideal event to find a new, affordable couture designer.
