Love triangle ends in murder, Vaalpark
Police spokesperson Constable Langa Maselela said the 37-year-old suspect traced the movements of the girlfriend and caught her together with the 57-year-old on their way to work.
SASOLBURG.- The police in Sasolburg are investigating a case of murder after a 57 year-old male was found lying dead with stab wounds at Vaal Park, Sasolburg on 25 July 2022.
It is alleged that the girlfriend was pursuing both the 57-year-old Jonas Lesolia and 37 year old suspect romantically involved as partners at the same time.
Police spokesperson Constable Langa Maselela said the 37-year-old suspect traced the movements of the girlfriend and caught her together with the 57-year-old on their way to work.
“He further stabbed the 57-year-old multiple times with a sharp object and fled on foot, leaving the girlfriend behind at the scene.”
The police were called to the scene and the EMS personnel declared the 57-year-old victim dead.
Maselela said upon further investigation and tracing the police managed to arrest the suspect the same day.
The suspect appeared in court on Wednesday 27 July 2022 on a charge of murder and being an illegal immigrant from Zimbabwe.
